“The groups at ICNOS are highly knowledgeable, keenly perceptive, passionate and over-the top caring. Marcello did an amazing job of accommodating every need of our group and has the gift of making guests feel like friends. ICNOS hooked us up with restaurants that were experiences, hiking that took our breath away, and exceeded our expectations in every way. I think anyone traveling to Italy would be wise to book with this team and ensure they get the very most from their vacation.

“We have been wanting to write to you and have just now got the time. Thank you so much for providing us with the most memorable trip ever. Every aspect of the trip was perfect. We had no idea what to expect and it was all better then we could have imagined, from the pick up at the Naples airport to the drop off at the cruise in Civitavecchia, it all went smoothly. We so enjoyed you & Barbara and felt like we had made new friends in both of you. I hope that one day you and your wife are able to come to Vancouver Island and see where we live. Once again thank you for making our trip fantastic and maybe we can come and travel with you another time. We will certainly recommend you to everyone. I have attached a few pictures that you had asked for.

“Dear Marcello & Anna
We much enjoyed our stay in Tuscany.
The holiday went smoothly and we really enjoyed the company of our guide, Sara. Apart from being a fun person she was so very knowledgeable on the region and just good company. The accommodation on the farm estate was fine, my only gripe would be that I would have appreciated an extra hook or two in the bathroom!
In the evening it was lovely just to wander down to the dining room at the allotted time to enjoy a delicious regional supper. All the staff were extremely pleasant and seemed to enjoy working at Farmhouse, which made for a good atmosphere.
Of course the setting was beautiful and I loved walking away from the busy areas.
With warmest regards, Tessa”

“We just finished our last hike and are preparing to leave for Naples and Rome tomorrow and then on to Chicago. I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip and how much we appreciate your hard work and attention to detail that made it so enjoyable. The hotels were consistently good and all your drivers were excellent. We especially enjoyed visiting with Fortunato.
So thank you.  J. B”

“There were four of us on a walking holiday on the Amalfi coast in August 2011. We had a varied range of walking abilities so we needed alot of flexibilty in our travel arrangements. We also had to deal with a summer heatwave. Nevertheless we had a fantastic holiday, largely thanks to the impeccable organisation by ICNOS. From the early stages of planning our itinerary they were sensitive to our needs and always went the extra mile to ensure we had a great holiday. The accommodation was excellent , the recommendations for walks perfect and the route descriptions so well set out that we never got lost! The support drivers that were employed were first class, courteous and extremely helpful in providing local information. The only mishaps we had were as a result of the vagaries of public transport but these were minimised once we got the hang of the timetables and local “flexibility”!
Marcello was always able to respond to us immediately by text/phone if we had any concerns.
I would strongly recommend ICNOS to anyone planning a self guided walk in the Amalfi/Capri area.

“We took the self-guided tour of the Cinque Terre and the organisation by Icnos Adventures was excellent. On arrival, we were provided with detailed and very helpful information about the walks for each day, including strenuous and less strenuous options. The only problems that arose had nothing to do with Icnos, namely the rough seas meant that we could do little by boat and a landslide prevented us walking between some of the villages. The transportation arrangements between venues worked perfectly and we liked all three hotels that we stayed in, particularly the way in which they became increasingly luxurious. The restaurant recommendations were first rate too. Marcello and Anna paid great attention to detail and even arranged a cake for our daughter’s 21st birthday.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Icnos.
Very best, Reica”

“Dear Marcello and Anna, Thank you both so much for organizing our wonderful trip to the Amalfi Coast.
From our initial contact with ICNOS, Marcello and Anna offered their time, dedication and knowledge in organizing a trip to meet our needs. ICNOS provided a trip which exceeded all our expectations…
Marcello and Anna’s attention to detail from the wonderful support staff to the exceptional accommodation was fantastic. We stayed in unique traditional environments, embracing the local people, their food and the local wine…
It was a holiday beyond our expectations and one we will continue to recommend to all our friends back home in Australia.
Thank you to all involved in making this a trip we will never forget. We hope to see you all again one day soon.
Kindest Regards, Peter, Robina and Barbara”

“We’re just back from the two weeks that you arranged for us in Naples, the Phlegrean Fields, and the Amalfi Coast. We wanted to thank you for the wonderful vacation we had. The hotel in Naples was perfect in a great location for sightseeing. The tour that you arranged for us in the Phlegrean Fields was fascinating. Our guide was so knowledgeable and we felt very privileged to be visiting all the ruins with him. We also enjoyed the snorkeling trip in Baia that you arranged for us.
Our week in the Amalfi Coast was also very special. All the walking directions and other information that you provided was excellent. The walks were beautiful. You were also so helpful in providing schedules for the days after our trip with you.
Thanks for all your help with our trip. We appreciate your attention to our interests and your flexibility in making special arrangements when we requested them. Our trip was tailored just the way we wanted it. We enclose some pictures for you. Naomi and Kevin McLean”

“Hello Marcello, I don’t know who is/was the luckier – you for having Sara or us for having had her as a guide. She was absolutely outstanding – friendly, knowledgeable and well organized. Nothing was too much trouble but everything was organized, a real treasure. She had a huge amount of info regarding the flora and fauna and she knew her wines, which for us was very special. Would we recommend you – absolutely, but we would insist on Sara as our companion and guide”

“Icnos Adventures’ “Highlights & backroads of the Amalfi Coast” self-guided walking tour was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. Highlights included detailed and easy-to-follow walking instructions, which enabled us to stay off the beaten track without ever getting lost; first rate hotel accommodations (most notably our Tramonti B & B, where our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well looked-after); and renowned visitor sites such as Pompeii, the Island of Capri, and the magnificent Villa Cimbrone in Ravello. Marcello and our local hosts provided excellent dining recommendations, including an unforgettable pasticceria in Minori (try anything with lemon!), excellent seafood, pasta and local cheeses. Walks encompassed magnificent Amalfi coastal scenery, picturesque villages, Roman ruins, historic churches, fragrant lemon groves and quiet forested trails. Distances walked each day were very manageable, and there was ample opportunity for shopping and sightseeing along the way. We cannot recommend this vacation too highly! A.D. & M.J.”
